The aircraft was named 'John Campbell Miles'

This was done in recognition of his service with The Royal Australian Air Force

and later with the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation and Government Aircraft Factory

Operated its first revenue service - May 1990

This was the first Embraer EMB120 Brasilia to enter service in Australia
